Our Story

Fox Bros Bar-B-Q got their start back in 2000 when Jonathan Fox got tired of not finding any good bar-b-q in the city of Atlanta. Frustrated with all of the popular recommendations from people he asked, he started cooking bar-b-q on his own. In 2001 the brothers had a party at their house for friends which featured all you can eat bar-b-q, sides, all you can drink and live bands. The event became a yearly tradition and grew each year with more elaborate menus and better bar-b-q each time! By 2004 the brothers were cooking for 200 plus folks all showing up to these events. At this point, Jonathan Fox started catering and Fox Bros Bar-B-Q was born!

storyIn 2004, Jonathan was introduced to: Dan & Beau Nolen and Mike Reeves with Smiths Olde Bar by mutual friends, and shortly thereafter the Fox Bros were selling their style of Bar-B-Q at Smiths on Wednesday nights. This night took off and they added Saturdays and Sundays. It eventually evolved into seven days a week with Fox Bros having their own separate menu, which featured a lot of the staples served today at Fox Bros. In 2005 Jonathan was laid off from his corporate job. This was more of a blessing than a curse, the catering operation had become a full time job by itself. While serving at Smiths, the Fox Brothers began to receive a lot of local press, They were even announced as Runner Up for Best Overall Bar-B-Q in the city of Atlanta by the Atlanta Journal Constitution. With continuing success at Smiths, the brothers teamed up with the Nolen’s and Mike Reeves to take the bar-b-q to the next level and open a stand-alone location for Fox Bros Bar-B-Q to grow and prosper.
